There’s something that happens when we unplug.
Not just from devices, but from the expectations, the rhythm, and the performance of being “on.” For the past few weeks, I stepped away from social media. I didn’t announce it. I just… took a breath.
And it turns out, that breath was long overdue.
I was in Australia—a place that holds my heart. I spent beautiful time with my family, met incredible businesswomen, and had the honour of speaking at a conference that left me inspired and humbled. It was a full and beautiful trip. But what made it even more powerful was choosing to be fully present for it.
No scrolling. No posting. Just living.
What I learned in that space is something I want to carry forward—and share with you.
1. Stillness makes room for clarity.
When we step away from the constant input, we begin to hear our own thoughts again. I realized how much space I was giving to things that didn’t need to take up so much room. In stillness, we often find the answers we’ve been seeking.
2. We’ve normalized distraction.
Social media isn’t bad—it can be beautiful and connective. But without boundaries, it becomes a place where we lose ourselves. In Australia, I felt how rich a conversation could be when I wasn’t half-checking my phone. I felt the power of presence.
3. Real connection always wins.
Some of my deepest moments came not from posting or sharing, but from laughing around the table, exchanging stories face-to-face, or sitting quietly beside someone I love. There’s a sacredness in those moments—and they don’t ask to be documented.
Coming back, I don’t feel pressure to return to the same pace. I want to move with intention. To share when it’s real. To post when it’s from the heart. And to always remember that the most powerful connection isn’t virtual—it’s human.
So if you’re feeling stretched, overwhelmed, or even just a little numb… I invite you to take a breath. Step back. Reconnect with you.
There’s life beyond the scroll.
And sometimes, that’s where the magic lives.
With love and light,
June
